I find it interesting how close sadness and surprise are together, and how rage and ecstasy are separated only by vigilance. I think this is not a completely accurate model. I think it would be more accurate to place emotions on small pieces of paper and fold them neatly, place them into a pretty basket, shake it up, then pour everything out on a pretty blanket and have a picnic.
